Marvin, I heard the WFPK promo yesterday(6/8)and caught your second show with Ray and Hardy...it was FABULOUS to listen to all of you. The great stories shared go back some 50 years...!Loved when Hardy said he downloaded an old #78 to his Ipod. As always, you are doing a great thing for Louisville music..Please keep it up my old friend. Duke Meyer really is perfect for the show! Added: June 9, 2006 |

Marvin, I listened to the first broadcast last week. I think you should play at least one or two of the recordings that got airplay on each show, jog some memories that way. Maybe something like "Nite Owl" and "Just Words" for example. Added: June 6, 2006 |

Recorded at Sambo in the mid-late 60's. Band was called The XL's. I played keyboards and wrote the songs "MARYJANE" & "RUINED WORLD". I was just a teenager back then, but I remember how exciting it was to record in a real recording studio. I also remember just how good of**roup the CARNATIONS AND TRENDELLS were. Yes, Jack Sanders used "Scorpion" by The Carnations, but the original was by The Shamrocks. Added: December 21, 2005 |
